Hello guys,
if anyone is curious to try some touchscreens on AmigaOS4, I have just released my touch.device (first public beta release).
It's the result of about 5 months of work spread over 10 years of my spare time.
Betatesters for touchscreen drivers on AmigaOS4.1 wanted
Hi,
i wrote a usb driver for egalax touchscreens.
I need help to test it on the widest range of touchscreens.
You can find a list of compatible touchscreens on my site:
Hello everyone,
... touch.device: provides the common API for mounting drivers and producing touch events (including MULTITOUCH); touch.usbfd: touchscreen drivers connected via USB (currently only supports old egalax); touchPrefs: configuration tool for touch devices based on the touch.device API; touchbench: is an example of client for touch.device. It is an application that works in the background and translates touch events produced by touch.device into mouse events.Among the various features, it also works in multiscreen, to some it might seem trivial but I assure you that on AmigaOS it is not.
For how it's structured, writing new drivers to support other touchscreens is very simple.

I have also almost completed the driver to support multitouch monitors with HID protocol.
Almost all modern monitors will probably be supported with the HID driver.
I will try to finish it by the end of the Christmas holidays.
