Hallo zusammen
Und auf zum nächsten Problem bei Billy Frontier.
Bin da etwas irritiert das ich das Spiel einmal ans läufen bekommen habe, aber nun beim Start direkt eine schwarzen Bildschirm habe, ohne die Möglichkeit da was einzustellen.
An was kann das nu wieder liegen
Würde es ja verstehen wenn es gar nicht geklappt hätte, aber erst läuft es und dann ohne neue Software installiert zu haben bleibt das Bild schwarz .
Vielleicht hat ja schon jemand hier eine .
Da das Handbuch dazu wieder nur in Englisch ist, schaue ich grad mal nach ob ich daraus was entnehmen kann, was mir hier weiter hilft. ich fang mal mit dem Übersetzen an.

Habe es eben mal getestet und eine Fehlermeldung bekommen beim erneuten starten.
Dann habe ich das ".userdata" Verzeichnis gelöscht und dann ging es.

Na das wäre ja einfach und schön wenn das bei mir auch klappen würde.
Aber wie immer zickt meine Karre wieder rum und das Bild bleibt schwarz.
Der Mauszeiger ist zu sehen und die Musik läuft, aber kein Bild.

Be sure you have all latest 2D/3D libraries. With older version it may or may not works and may, or may not have lots of issues.

The ones with which everything is tested and will works are:

ogles2.library 3.3 (04/30/2022)
warp3dnova.library 54.16 (04/22/2022)
warp3dnova/W3DN_CGN.library 54.16 or warp3dnova/W3DN_SI.library 54.16 depend on what gfx card you use
RadeonRX 2.11 or RadeonHD 5.12 (or at least 3.7) also depends on what gfx card you use

If you have older ogles2.library for example (even a little bit), you will have black screens on re-run, because it generate .gl4es.psa file , which were broken in 3.2. So 3.3 are must. Same for all other libraries, with every of them something fixed, which mean you should be always on very latest public ones.

Saying that it didn't mean port may have no issues, it can of course, but at least in terms of "few runs" it works for sure on my x5000 setup with all latest libs.

do you also have a direct link to download the required libs?
just searching for the ogles2.library 3.3 is already confusing.
Github is a mess for me. Why aren't there any sources that specifically offer the download to make it a little easier for the user?
It's really annoying, you have to find everything yourself somehow, really sad.

ogles2.library not on github, it's part of this Enhancer The same as Radeon drivers and Warp3DNova itself.

Many thanks for your help kas1e.
I didn't realize there was an update for the enhancer package.
So I had not yet updated the libraries and the driver, which has now happened.
After the update I had a problem with booting the computer, which was due to SGrab, which I had previously moved to another folder but forgot to remove the entry from WBStarup.
Anyway, Billy Frontier is running now and I'll have a look at it at my leisure.
I'm also in the process of creating a German manual.
